Levin

Golan Levin is Associate Professor of Electronic Art at Carnegie Mellon University, where he also holds courtesy appointments in the School of Computer Science, the School of Design, the School of Architecture, and the Entertainment Technology Center. As an educator, Golan’s pedagogy is concerned with reclaiming computation as a medium of personal expression.

Frank Lantz is the Director of the NYU Game Center, he has taught game design for over 12 years at NYU, SVA, and Parsons and his writings on games, technology and culture have appeared in a variety of publications.

Davidson

Drew Davidson is a professor, producer and player of interactive media. His background spans academic, industry and professional worlds and he is interested in stories and transformational experiences across texts, comics, games and other media. He is the Director of the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University and the Founding Editor of ETC Press and its Well Played series and journal. He also served as the interim Director for Randy Pausch’s Alice Project.

Clark has been a tech strategist involved with startups for over 25 years. His current focus is ubiquitous mobile awareness, resulting in hyper-personalization, which he developed during his tenure on the Dubailand leisure/entertainment project, 2007, managed by McKinsey. Genuine mobile awareness requires lots of AI, context, sensors, security…and batteries.

Dena

Dr. Christy Dena is Program Co-ordinator of the Master of Creative Industries at the SAE Creative Media Institute, Brisbane. Previously she was the Chair and Department Coordinator of Games at SAE Creative Media Institute. Christy completed her Ph.D. on Transmedia Practice at the University of Sydney and wrote the definition of ‘transmedial fictions’ for The Johns Hopkins Encyclopedia of Digital Textuality.

Klug

Trained as a theatrical lighting designer, Chris Klug began his career in the arts working on Broadway, in regional theater and toured with various 70’s rock n’ roll bands. Then, at the invitation of a fellow photographer, Chris transitioned into a career as a Game Designer.

Dr. Caroline “Caro” Williams-Pierce is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Theory & Practice at the University at Albany, SUNY. Caro specializes in designing and analyzing technology for mathematical play, with a particular focus on how players construct mathematical understandings through playing videogames.

Magerko

Dr. Magerko is an Associate Professor of Digital Media & head of the ADAM Lab at Georgia Tech. He received his B.S. in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon (1999) and his MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan (2001, 2006). His research explores the intersection of creativity, cognition, and computing.

Arthur Protasio is a storyteller at heart. Screenwriter at TV Globo and creative director at Fableware, a storytelling studio specialized in writing and developing content for multiple platforms and transmedia projects.
