Jeffrey Ventrella is an artist and software programmer. He writes about artificial life, virtual worlds, and computer art, and has lectured in North America and Europe. He is a graduate of the MIT Media Lab, and the cofounder of the now-defunct virtual world, There.com. He invented the flexiprims of Second Life. Ventrella created GenePool, an artificial life game, and other interactive animations, available on www.ventrella.com. He lives in northern California with his wife Nuala and his dog Higgs.
